Glimpses

out of the corner of my eye i see you pass by.
you don't even know i'm watching you,
...do you?

you walk on as if i'm not there;
your stride full of purpose,
your mind on important things.

ah, me. pining after you like this.
it's frustratingly pathetic.
if there is such a thing.

here you are again.
passing by me, from wherever you've been to,
to wherever you're going.

i catch a glimpse of you, however fleeting it is.
but wait. yes! you see me, and you smile.
ah. it's a beautiful day!

Note:Every once in a while I get mushy and moony and stupidly lovestruck. Thank heavens it doesn't happen too often.
